Welcome to an awesome roof site!

 

My uncle is a roofer. So, he likes to talk about it and just sprinkle his experience and info onto me. So, here it is, a dump for all those roofing information. Well that of course, I'm also working part-time for him. So, it does me good to know a bit about the industry as well. 

So, I would like to think of this as a place where I stash my study note on roof repair and all those good stuff. My uncle, Sam loves to talk about various kind of roofs. Each has its own story tied to it - mainly historical buildings. There's also the influence of a culture that shapes the building and roof itself. 

He sees things differently. He sees the roof as an artform that functions both as a protection against the weather and also as a display of the beauty of the home. It's a 'hat' of the house. And not every house wears the same hat. 

I think his approach towards the roofing industry is that he sees art in it. It goes more than just repairing the roof. He also appreciates the beauty of it. I'll put up more stuff here from time to time. So, check it out!
